Members Art Show – Call for Artists

TIMELINE:

• October 1, 2023 – “Commitment to Exhibit” due (for artists who want a guaranteed spot in the show). Artists who don’t submit a “Commitment to Exhibit” by the deadline can still participate if there is space available.
• Monday, November 6 & Tuesday, November 7 – Artwork delivered to YSSC between 10 am-1 pm (other arrangements can be made ahead of these dates)
• Friday, November 17, 4-6 pm – Artists Reception
• Tuesday, December 26 & Wednesday December 27 – Pick up artwork (other arrangements can be made ahead of these dates)

 

• Open to all artists 55 years or older and live in Yellow Springs or Miami Township.
• Artists must be current members of the Yellow Springs Senior Center.
• Up to three entries per member may be submitted using the guidelines below. One piece is guaranteed acceptance, additional pieces may be accepted if there’s room.
• All works must be ready to be hung; wall pieces must be framed and have a hanging wire securely installed or a saw tooth hanger.
• 2-D artworks must not exceed 24″ in width or height.
• 3-D artworks must not exceed a footprint of 12″ x 12″ or less.
• All works must be delivered in person to the Senior Center on the time and dates above. If you cannot deliver your art at that time, please make arrangements prior to those days by contacting Pam Geisel or call 937-767-5751 and leave a message for Pam Geisel.
• Accepted work must remain on display through the end of the exhibition.
• Artwork can be available for sale although all sales are handled directly with the artist; the Senior Center doesn’t handle any sales or take any commission.
• Artists are encouraged to attend the artist reception.
