Community Games Mondays, 1:30–3:30 pm We have all sorts of games to play: board, card, word, logic, puzzles and more, or bring your own and help others learn a new activity! Gentle limbering stretches and balance exercises will be offered every 20 to 30 minutes so our bodies stay flexible along with our minds!
Euchre Online Mondays & Wednesdays, 1:30 pm (Other times can be arranged if there's enough interest) The euchre group meets online. Ohio is known to groom great euchre players. A fun, quick playing, competitive game that can be learned easily, though mastering it might take a few years of “getting set” or, worse yet, “getting skunked.” Join for a few rounds to increase brain power, improve your skill at bluster and just have a good time with others. Those who wish to join should contact the Senior Center.
Ping Pong Mondays, 4–6 pm, Great Room The Senior Center has a new ping pong table in the Great Room with a time for open play! A weekend session can be added if there’s enough interest. No Ping Pong on the second Monday of April, June, August, or October due to the Financial Series. Rummikub Tuesday, 2 pm, Great Room Like Rummy & Mahjong combined with only numbers. Easy to play.
Scrabble Wednesday, 1–3:30 pm, Fireplace Room Bridge Wednesday, 6:30-9 pm, Great Room Duplicate bridge is a pleasantly competitive table sport. The bridge group meets in person in the Great Room. New participants need to contact Susan Freeman before showing up. Contact the YSSC to get Susan's contact information.
Mahjong Thursdays & Saturday, 12:30–4 pm, Thursday in the Fireplace Room; Saturday in the Great Room This cognitive game requires players to use attention, memory, planning and calculation skills. It's a game of mental finesse and complex strategies – an excellent mental workout that really IS fun. The mahjong group meets in person in the Great Room. New participants need to contact Lin Wood at the YSSC before showing up.
Bingo Last Friday of the month, see Upcoming Events for dates, 4–5:30 pm, Great Room Play Bingo for cash prizes in the Great Room with refreshments. Cards cost 25¢ per card each round, play as many cards as you like. Open to ages 21 and up.
